Ich hatte mal wieder Lust, was Schnelles zu sticken. Da kam mir der kleine herzförmige Scherenanhänger von Anna Scott Embroidery gerade recht. Das Tutorial hat keine Fragen offen gelassen und das Herz machte dank der drei verwendeten Basisstiche (Kettenstich, Plattstich und Knötchenstich) richtig Spaß zu Sticken. Zwar habe ich etwas länger als die angekündigte "Embroidery Hour" gebraucht, bin dann aber mit einem Lächeln vom Arbeitstisch aufgestanden. Nun ziert der "herzige" Anhänger meine mittelalterliche Schere und kommt bei jenen Handwerksvorführungen zum Einsatz, die nicht 100% authentisch sein müssen.

I had a mind to embroider something small. Luckily, I happened to stumble across a tutorial for a scissor fob, over at Anna Scott Embroidery. The project titled With my Heart was easy to follow and used only three basic embroidery stitches: Chain Stitch, Satin Stitch and French Knot. In short - it was an absolute joy to make and I left the worktable with a smile on my face. Now the heart-shaped pendant adornes my medieval scissors and will accompany me to craft displays that needn't be 100% authentic.
